The Industry section provides salespeople with information about their buyers’ industry trends and the forces that impact them.

How to Access the Industry Section?

Upon successful login, navigate to the left-hand menu.
From the options listed here, click the icon. Doing so reveals the list of components in the Collectors.
Select Industry. This takes you to the Industry screen.

Here, all the records you have created for Industry are listed. Information is tabulated via a number of columns that include Industry Name, Buyer Role, External Force, Status, Created By, Updated By, and Action.
Like the Proof section, you can use the search bar at the top-left corner, and the action buttons under the Action column for editing, viewing, and deleting an Industry record that is present. Moreover, you can sort the records on the basis of a column by clicking the upward and downward arrow buttons alongside the column name.

To make changes to an existing Industry such as add or delete items to any of the Collector Industries, or if you want to add another narrative, you can select the edit option – pencil icon – under the “Action” column on the right-hand side for the industry you wish to edit/add. From there, this will take you to the first section of the Collector Industry. From there, navigate to the section(s) you wish to edit. Be sure to save the changes you’ve made with the button. Hit the which will take you back to the Industry List section.
In case you want to view the details recorded for an industry, click the icon. This opens the Industry details of the selected industry in a read-only view. However, here you can edit an Existing Narrative by selecting the icon within the narrative box which will take you back to the Industry Narratives section or you can hit the which will take you back to the Industry List section.

Upon landing on the Industry screen, click the +Add New Industry button. This takes you to the Industry Information section.

Information is recorded for an industry via five sections that include Industry, Industry Forces, Industry Trends, Industry Challenges, and Narratives. Let us take a detailed look into each step.

In this step, information regarding to the industry you are adding is recorded.
Here, enter the name of the industry in the “What is the name of the industry?” field.
Select the buyer role of the buyer using the “Which Buyer Role Does This Impact the Most?” dropdown.
Similarly, enter the name of the external force impacting the industry buyers using the “What is the single largest external force impacting your buyers in this industry?” field.
Use the button to upload any relevant attachments from your system storage.
Use the “Ask ChatGPT” option wherever it’s available to help you with any of the fields in the Salesfuse templates to include information that will be used in the industry-centric Salesfuse templates. See How to Use the ChatGPT Tool? for help with this option.
Once the required information is filled in, click the button. Doing so takes you to the Industry Forces section.

In this step, name the external forces impacting buyers in this industry. Add one per row.
Use the “Ask ChatGPT” option for help
Like the other sections, you can click the +Add Another Force button to open a new row and record another external force.
Moreover, clicking the button at the end of a row removes a record.
Once the forces are added, click the button. Doing so takes you to the Industry Trends section.

In this section, record the major trends having an impact on the industry you are adding. Add one per row.
Use the “Ask ChatGPT” option for help
Like the other sections, you can click the +Add Another Trend button to open a new row and record another major trend.
Moreover, clicking the button at the end of a row removes a record.
Once the trends are added, click the button. Doing so takes you to the Industry Challenges section.

In this step, add the challenges faced by the people in this industry. Add one per row.
Use the “Ask ChatGPT” option for help
Like the other sections, you can click the +Add Another Challenge button to open a new row and record another challenge.
Moreover, clicking the button at the end of a row removes a record.
Once the challenges are added, click the button. Doing so takes you to the Narratives section.

Like the other collector sections, all the selections you made throughout combine to form a narrative for you to review.
The details you recorded populate in each corresponding field. Read through each item that can be selected in the drop-down menus to ensure they have the effect you wish to convey. If something doesn’t make sense or doesn’t align with what you wish to communicate, you can go back to those sections to add/edit the fields by simply selecting the section you wish to add to or edit. Then, follow the prompts back to the Narratives section.
To add another narrative, click the button. This adds another similar window with the details to be selected the same way as for the narrative you created earlier.
To remove a narrative, click the icon at the top-right corner of the window.
Once you have reviewed the details, click the button and confirm with the Confirm Save Changes popup button.

This adds the new industry to the Industry List.
To make changes to an existing industry such as add or delete items to any of the Collector industries, or if you want to add another narrative, you can select the edit option – pencil icon – under the “Action” column on the right-hand side for the industry you wish to edit/add. From there, this will take you to the first section of the Industry collector. From there, navigate to the section(s) you wish to edit. Be sure to save the changes you’ve made with the button.
You can also choose to view the Narratives from the Industry List by selecting the Narratives option in the top right corner of the table.

This will take you to the Industry List Narratives. From here you can edit an existing Narrative by clicking on the pencil icon under the Action column on the right side.

This will take you to the Industry Narrative section where you can add, edit, and delete an Industry Narrative. Be sure to Save any updates you have made by selecting the button.
If you wish to go back to the Industry List at any point, simply click on the “Back to List” button in the top right corner.
