The Message section is where you clarify the value of your product and services to the buyer.
How to Access the Message Section?
- Upon successful login, navigate to the left-hand menu.
- From the options listed here, click the icon. Doing so reveals the list of components in the Collectors.
- Select Message. This takes you to the Message List screen.
- Here, all the messages you have created are listed. Information for each message is tabulated via a number of columns that include Message Name, Product, Role, Theme, Industry, Status, Created By, Updated By, and Action.
- Like the Product section, you can use the search bar at the top-left corner, and the action buttons under the Action column for editing, viewing, and deleting a Message record that is present. Moreover, you can sort the records on the basis of a column by clicking the upward and downward arrow buttons alongside the column name. Additionally, you have the option to filter the messages by Industry, Role, and Product by using the drop-down menus in each area.
- To make changes to an existing Message such as add or delete items to any of the Collector Messages, or if you want to add another narrative, you can select the edit option – pencil icon – under the “Action” column on the right-hand side for the message you wish to edit/add. From there, this will take you to the first section of the Collector Messages. From there, navigate to the section(s) you wish to edit. Be sure to save the changes you’ve made with the button. Hitting the will take you back to the Message List section.
- In case you want to view the details recorded for a message, click the icon. This opens the Message Details of the selected message in a read-only view. However, here you can edit an Existing Narrative by selecting the icon within the narrative box which will take you back to the Message Narratives section or you can hit the which will take you back to the Message List section.
How to Create a New Message?
- Upon landing on the Message List, click the +Add New Message button. This opens the Message Collector screen.
- As you land on the Collector: Messages screen, a message is added following a series of steps that include Message, Value Points, Questions, Objections, Responses, Problem Resolutions, and Narratives. Let us take a detailed look into each step.
Message
- In this section, basic details of the message are recorded.
- Name your message using the “Name of the message” field.
- Choose the buyer role for which this message is being added using the Buyer Role dropdown.
- Select the product you want to associate this message to using the “Please select a product” dropdown.
- From the Yes/No radio buttons, choose a response to the “Is this a primary value point you want to emphasize with your buyers?” question.
- Select the reason that gives you a competitive edge using the “Why will buyers choose you over the competition?” dropdown.
- Choose the industry this message is targeting from the “Primary Industry You Are Targeting with This Message” dropdown.
- Click the Choose File button to upload any relevant attachments to the message from your system storage.
- Once the selections are made, click the Next button.
Value Points
- This section enables you to record the value points your solution/product has to offer.
- Use the field under the “What is the value of your product or services (solution)?” heading to record each value the product offers. Add one per row.
- Use the “Ask ChatGPT” option wherever it’s available to help you with any of the fields in the Salesfuse templates to include information that will be used in the message collector Salesfuse templates. See How to Use the ChatGPT Tool? for help with this option.
- Like the other sections, you can click the +Add Another Value Point button to open a new row and record another message value point.
- Moreover, clicking the button at the end of a row removes a record.
- Once the required Value Points are added, click the button. Doing so takes you to the Questions section.
Questions
- In this section, record the questions you need to ask the buyer to respond to so they can seamlessly move forward.
- Use the field under the “What questions can you ask a buyer to help them move forward?” heading to record each question. Add one per row.
- Use the “Ask ChatGPT” option for help
- Like the other sections, you can click the +Add Another Question button to open a new row and record another Question.
- Moreover, clicking the button at the end of a row removes a record.
- Once the required Questions are added, click the button. Doing so takes you to the Objections section.
Objections
- This section lets you record objections a buyer might have to your message.
- For this, use the field under the “What will the buyer say when objecting to your messages?” heading. One per row.
- Use the “Ask ChatGPT” option for help
- Like the other sections, you can click the +Add Another Objection button to open a new row and record another Objection.
- Moreover, clicking the button at the end of a row removes a record.
- Once the required Objections are added, click the button. Doing so takes you to the Responses section.
Responses
- In this section, you can layout the plan for responding to the buyer objections on your message.
- Use the field under the “How do you want to respond to these objections?” heading to record the responses. One per row.
- Use the “Ask ChatGPT” option for help
- Like the other sections, you can click the +Add Another Response button to open a new row and record another Response.
- Moreover, clicking the button at the end of a row removes a record.
- Once the required Responses are added, click the button. Doing so takes you to the Problem Resolutions section.
Problems Solved
- Using this section, you can record the resolutions your product has to offer for the buyer problems.
- For this purpose, use the field under the “What problem does the product or service specifically solve for buyers?” heading to record each resolution. One per row.
- Use the “Ask ChatGPT” option for help
- Like the other sections, you can click the +Add Another Resolution button to open a new row and record another Resolution.
- Moreover, clicking the button at the end of a row removes a record.
- Once the required Resolutions are added, click the button. Doing so takes you to the Narratives section.
Narratives
- The selections you made in each step combine to form a narrative that is displayed here for you to review.
- The details you recorded populate in each corresponding field. Read through each item that can be selected in the drop-down menus to ensure they have the effect you wish to convey. If something doesn’t make sense or doesn’t align with what you wish to communicate, you can go back to those sections to add/edit the fields by simply selecting the section you wish to add to or edit. Then, follow the prompts back to the Narratives section.
- To add another narrative, click the button. This adds another similar window with the details to be selected the same way as for the narrative you created earlier.
- To remove a narrative, click the icon at the top-right corner of the window.
- Once you have reviewed the details, click the button and confirm with the Confirm Save Changes popup button.
- This adds the new message to the Message List.

- You can also choose to view the Narratives from the Message List by selecting the Narratives option in the top right corner of the table.
- This will take you to the Message List Narratives. From here you can edit an existing Narrative by clicking on the pencil icon under the Action column on the right side. This will take you back to the Message Narrative section.
